For tempering (tadka)

Directions

    Add hot water and soak cashew nuts and poppy seeds for few minutes then grind to a fine paste.

    In a pan add sunflower oil, sliced onions, sliced shallots, sauté till light golden.

    Add crushed ginger/garlic, sauté for few more minutes.

    Add green chillies, coriander powder, turmeric, black pepper, garam masala, sauté well.

    Add cubed potato, sauté for few more minutes.

    Add chicken, salt, sauté for 5 minutes.

    Add hot water, cover and cook until done (sauté in between).

    Add sliced tomato, coconut milk, then add cashew/poppy seed paste.

    For tempering (tadka), add sunflower oil, sliced shallots, green chillies, red chillies, curry leaves.
