Tonight’s comfort dinner ~ Sùn Ram Cay Ngôt - Vietnamese Sweet & Spicy Pork Ribs, Canh Tán Ó - Vietnamese Shrimp & Chrysanthemum Greens Soup (leftover from the other day), and Dúa Chua - Pickled Mustard Greens 👴👴🤖

    Cut & Rinse Pork

    Bring a pot of water to a full boil

  3. 3

    Add Pork, simmer on high boil for 5 minutes

  4. 4

    Remove pot from heat and discard water

  5. 5

    Rinse pork well under cold water, set aside

  6. 6

    In a medium size pot or claypot

  7. 7

    On medium high heat

  8. 8

    Add neutral oil, Shallots & Garlic

  9. 9

    Stir until fragrant

  10. 10

    Add Parboiled Pork, Coco Rico Coconut Soda and Sauce

  11. 11

    Stir well, bring to a simmer

  12. 12

    Turn heat to med low, cover with lid

  13. 13

    Continue simmering for about 5-10 minutes

    After 15 mins, remove lid, turn heat to medium

  15. 15

    Add cut Thai Chilis

  16. 16

    Continue simmering on medium heat and stirring occasionally until liquid reduce to desired amount

  17. 17

    Serve with Rice!


Notes

To make your own Vietnamese Caramel Cooking Sauce: Heat up 1 Tbsp Sugar with 1 Tbsp Neutral oil stirring continuously until it turns a dark brown color
