Caramelised Apple Oats

The warm oat bowls are officially back. There is nothing better than a warm, cosy, sweet, lightly spiced bowl of oats on a chilly autumn morning.

    Chop your apples into small cubes and add to a frying pan. Add in the coconut oil, maple syrup and cinnamon and cook on low heat, stirring occasionally. Cook for 10 - 15 minutes until the apples are soft and the sauce is thickened and sticky.

    Cook your oats on the hob, low and slow. Add extra water as needed to achieve your desired consistency.

    Top your bowl of oats with the caramelised apples, pecans and pumpkin seeds for the perfect breakfast.
