    Combine warm milk, yeast and a dash of sugar then let it stand for 5-10 mins until bubbly.

    In a stand mixer bowl, mix together yeast mixture, egg, sugar, vanilla and salt.

    Add in flour and mix.

    Add in soft butter and mix until a soft dough forms.

    Let rise for about 1 hour, until doubled.

    While dough is rising, make filling: pour boiling water over the poppyseeds and let stand for 40 mins.

    Drain well and then blend in food processor with brown sugar and butter.

    Roll out dough into a large rectangle and spread filling evenly.

    Cut rolls at about a 3 inch thickness.

    Let rise for about 20 mins while you preheat the oven to 350 F.

    Brush with an egg yolk wash.

    Bake for 25-30 mins until golden brown.
