Combine all of the dough ingredients in a mixer bowl with a hook attachment, mix for 3 mins.

Let rise for 1-2 or until doubled.

Combine all of the filling ingredients on the stove top on medium-low heat until combined and sugar has dissolved, let cool.

Once dough has risen, roll it into a large rectangle.

Spread filling on the dough and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.

Fold into thirds and cut into 12 strips.

Taking each section and cut the strips but do not cut all the way, like shown in the video.

Braid the three strips and roll up, like shown in video.

Place in a greased muffin tin and let rise for 45-60 mins.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350 for 25-30 mins until golden brown.

You can optional top with a simple syrup, water and sugar simmered on low until thickened and an amber color is achieved.

Top with some more chopped pistachios.
