Dehydrated Peach and Blueberry Fruit Leather
A healthy, homemade snack perfect for enjoying the best of August’s seasonal fruits.
Ingredients
Directions
- 1
In a blender, combine the peaches, blueberries, honey (if using), and water. Blend until you achieve a smooth puree.
- 2
Line the dehydrator trays with non-stick dehydrator sheets or parchment paper. Ensure the sheets are cut to fit the trays and lie flat.
- 3
Pour the fruit puree onto the lined trays, spreading it evenly with a spatula to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- 4
Set the Weston Brands Ten Tray Digital Food Dehydrator to 135°F (57°C). Place the trays in the dehydrator and dry for 6-8 hours, or until the fruit leather is dry to the touch but still pliable.
- 5
Once fully dehydrated, remove the fruit leather from the trays and let it cool. Cut the fruit leather into strips or desired shapes using kitchen scissors or a sharp knife.
- 6
Roll up the fruit leather pieces in parchment paper and store them in an airtight container. They can be kept at room temperature for several weeks.
