Pecan Pie Bars are my favorite snack of the season! They have cinnamon shortbread crust and the pecan filling is so yummy.

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    In a large mixing bowl cream together butter and brown sugar. Add in flour, cinnamon and salt and beat till it’s a crumble texture.

    In a 9x9 baking dish lined with parchment paper press down shortbread crust evenly and bake for 15 minutes.

    While shortbread crust is baking make pecan pie filling.

    Melt butter in a medium saucepan or skillet, add in brown sugar, honey, heavy cream, and vanilla extract.

    Stir for a couple minutes on medium heat and add in the chopped pecans.

  7. 7

    Stir for another minute and pour pecan pie filling over baked crust.

    Put back in oven for another 15-20 minutes to finish off.

    Remove and let cool.
