Easy Spiced Snack Cake
This Spice snack cake is so yummy and it is frosted with maple cream cheese frosting! Drizzled with caramel. Perfect Fall snack.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8×8-inch pan or 9x9-inch pan.

In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Set aside.

In a medium bowl whisk eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined for about a minute. Add oil and whisk until combined. Add applesauce, buttermilk, and vanilla extract and mix until combined.

Pour the mixture into the flour mixture and mix till just combined.

Pour the batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow cake to cool completely.

While cake is cooling make frosting. In a large bowl using a handheld or stand mixer fitted with a paddle or whisk attachment, beat the cream cheese and butter together on high speed until smooth and creamy.

Add powder sugar and vanilla extract. Beat on low speed for 30 seconds, then switch to high speed and beat for 2 minutes till smooth.

Add in maple syrup and combine. Frost cooled cake.
