Ingredients
Directions
- 1
In a bowl, combine 2 3/4 cup all purpose flour, 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast, 1 tsp salt and 1/4 cup coconut sugar.
- 2
Add in 3/4 cup warm milk, 3 tbsp melted butter and 1 egg. Mix that together till a shaggy dough forms.
- 3
Transfer to a flat surface and knead for 5 minutes until you have a smooth dough. Place back in the bowl, cover with plastic wrap and allow it to rise for ONLY 10 minutes.
- 4
In the meantime, combine 1/3 cup maple syrup, 1 tbsp cinnamon and 1 tbsp all purpose flour in a small bowl.
- 5
Roll your dough out into a 1/2 inch - 1/4 inch thick rectangle. Spread 3 tbsp softened (almost melted) butter in a thin layer, then top with that maple cinnamon mixture.
- 6
Roll into cinnamon rolls tightly from the long side. Once rolled, cut into 8-10 pieces. Place into a buttered baking dish, cover and allow to rise for 1 - 1/2 hours.
- 7
Once risen, bake at 375 for about 24 minutes. Finish off with some cream cheese frosting (I make mine by combining 4 oz softened cream cheese, 2 tsp milk and 2 tbsp maple syrup) and enjoy!!
