Spicy Crispy Fried Tofu
Fried tofu is very commonly used in many tofu stir-fry dishes, since fresh tofu(especially tender tofu) is easy to break and a bit bland, frying the tofu before cooking gives it stronger a flavour and better texture, it’s so crispy and yummy

Cut the tofu into cubes(about 2cm wide), deep fry it (the oil temperature around 180C) over medium-high heat until it’s golden and crispy

Add garlic, soy sauce, 5 spice, chili flakes, toasted sesame and scallion
Notes
A tip for deep frying: If you need to deep fry something but don’t have a kitchen thermometer to test the oil temperature, you can use a wood chopstick. Simply stick a wood chopstick inside the hot oil, when there’s a lot of little bubbles forming around the chopstick indicates the oil is ready to fry, the more bubbles and faster-moving they are means the hotter the oil is
