Line the bottom of the cake tin in paper.

In a bowl, zest 1 orange and combine with the sugar.

Add the wet ingredients to the bowl and whisk together.

Add in dry ingredients and mix well.

Leave cake mixture aside while you slice an orange into thin pieces.

Oil the cake tin.

Arrange the orange slices in the cake tin.

Pour mixture over the orange slices.
