Cut up 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) into 8 pieces and place in a 9x13 dish

Put dish in oven and preheat to 350F, allow the butter to melt (about 5-10 min)

Make cobbler: in a bowl mix together 1 1/3 cup all purpose flour + 1 tsp baking powder + 1 cup granulated sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon

Pour in 3/4 cup milk of choice + 1 tsp vanilla and stir together

Scoop cobbler batter on top of melted butter

Add 1 1/2 cup chopped pecans on top

Sprinkle 3/4 cup brown sugar on top of pecans

Pour 1 cup boiling water over all of the above

Bake for 33-35 min or until bubbling
