Ingredients
Directions
- 1
Mash the tofu with a fork until smooth and crumbly.
- 2
Add 1 egg, tapioca starch, all-purpose flour, soy sauce, pepper, and sugar to the mashed tofu. Mix well until the ingredients are fully combined.
- 3
Transfer the tofu mixture into a piping bag. Cut the tip of the piping bag, then carefully squeeze the mixture onto skewers.
- 4
Boil the tofu skewers in the hot water until they firm up, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and let them cool slightly.
- 5
Dip each boiled tofu skewer into the egg mixture, then coat with panko breadcrumbs. For an extra crispy texture, repeat the egg and panko coating step.
- 6
Fry the coated skewers until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- 7
Remove the skewers from the oil and drain them on paper towels. Garnish with dried or fresh parsley before serving.
