Activate the Yeast: In a bowl, mix warm water and sugar. Stir in yeast and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

Make the Dough: Add flour and salt to the foamy yeast mixture and stir until a sticky dough forms.

First Rise: Coat a large bowl with 2 tsp oil. Place the dough in the bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 1/2 hours.

Prepare Baking Pan: Grease a 9x13 pan with butter and a bit of oil. Transfer the dough to the pan, spreading it out gently. Let it rest for another 45 minutes.

Top & Bake: Preheat oven to 425°F. Drizzle 2 tsp oil over the dough, make dimples with your fingers, and add your favorite toppings (herbs, garlic, olives, etc.). Bake for 25 minutes, until golden and delicious.
