Creamy & Cheesy Tomato and Pesto Pasta

A creamy, cheesy version of the classic childhood dish, Spaghetti-O's.

    Melt butter and heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

    Add thyme and red pepper flakes, stirring for another 30 seconds.

    Stir in tomato paste, water (or broth), and salt. Add the pasta, stirring to combine. Cover and cook until the pasta is al dente (about 10-12 minutes), stirring occasionally.

    Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the pesto, parmesan, parsley, and fresh basil. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is combined.

    Taste and adjust with salt and pepper as needed.

    Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parmesan and basil on top, and enjoy!
