This is one of those meals that tastes really expensive but is so simple to make.

Directions

  1. 1

Slice chicken breasts in half and pound them to tender them and reduce cooking time. Toss into a bowl and coat with seasoned flour, salt, and pepper.

  2. 2

In a large skillet, heat up oil on medium-low heat. Cook chicken breast 4-5 minutes each side until golden brown. Remove from heat onto a paper towel-lined plate. Salt and pepper them.

  3. 3

In the same pan, toss in onions, cook 1-2 minutes until lightly golden brown, add in mushrooms and deglaze the pan by adding in Marsala wine. Stir the brown bits off the bottom and let reduce for 1-2 minutes. And in chicken broth, garlic, herbs, balsamic, and let simmer for a minute.

  4. 4

Turn heat to low and finish with heavy cream. Add back in the chicken. Let simmer for additional 3-5 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with parsley. Serve with pasta, mashed potatoes, whatever you like!
