    Wash & soak both dals together in a bowl for 20 mins.

    Heat oil in a pressure cooker.

    Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, garlic & chilli. Saute for a few seconds.

    Add onion. Saute till light golden brown.

    Add ginger garlic paste. Saute for a few seconds.

    Add turmeric & red chilli powder. Mix Well.

    Add tomatoes & salt as per taste. Cook till soft.

    Add soaked dal, water & garam masala. Mix Well. Bring to a boil. Close cooker lid and take 2 whistles on medium flame.

    Garnish with chopped Coriander.
