    Soak chana for 7 - 8 hrs or overnight.

    Add chana to pressure cooker with just enough water to cover it. Add salt and sugar and take 4 - 5 whistles or cook till chana is cooked.

    Make paste of 2 tomatoes and 1/4 Cup Boiled Chana.

    Heat Oil in a pan, add whole spices, fennel seeds and green chillies. Let it splutter.

    Add onions and cook till translucent (approx. 4 - 5 mins on low flame) Do not make brown.

    Add Ginger Garlic Paste and saute for 1 - 2 mins.

    Add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder and cumin powder. Mix well.

    Add tomato and chana paste and cook till oil separates.

    Add chole masala and cook till masala dries.

    Add boiled chana along with its water. Mix Well.

    Add tomato ketchup, sugar and garam masala. Mix and bring to a boil.

    Garnish with Coriander leaves.
