Apple-Chocolate Bites
A delicious, no refined sugar treat to keep on hand!
Ingredients
Directions
- 1
Melt the chocolate mixture: In a small pot over low heat, slowly melt the unsweetened chocolate, coconut oil, and honey. Stir continuously to ensure a smooth mixture. Be careful not to overheat, as this will cause the chocolate to clump.
- 2
Prepare the apples: While the chocolate mixture is melting, slice the Granny Smith apple into bite-sized pieces.
- 3
Assemble the bites: In a silicone muffin pan, spoon about 1 tablespoon of the melted chocolate mixture into the bottom of each section. Place a few apple pieces on top of the chocolate, depending on how many you prefer in each bite.
- 4
Drizzle with caramel: Drizzle the homemade coconut sugar caramel over the apple pieces. Add a small pinch of salt on top of each one to enhance the flavor.
- 5
Set in the fridge: Place the muffin pan in the refrigerator and allow the chocolate to harden completely, about 30 minutes to an hour.
- 6
Serve and enjoy: Once the chocolate has hardened, pop the bites out of the muffin pan. Enjoy these delicious apple-chocolate treats as a dessert or a sweet afternoon snack!
