Air Fryer Chicken Hot Pocket
A simple recipe for a crispy and cheesy chicken hot pocket made in the air fryer.
Ingredients
Directions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Base: Place a sheet of parchment paper on a flat surface. Press half of the ground chicken onto the parchment paper (this recipe makes 2 larger pockets) forming it into a thin, 1/8-inch thick square.
- 2
Season and Layer: Season the chicken with salt, garlic powder, and basil. Lay the mozzarella strips and pepperoni slices over half of the chicken square.
- 3
Fold and Seal: Fold the chicken square over to cover the cheese and pepperoni, creating a pocket. Press the edges together to seal the filling inside.
- 4
Coat the Pocket: Dip both sides of the chicken pocket in the beaten eggs. Dredge the pocket in grated Parmesan cheese, pressing to ensure it sticks well and creates a good coating.
- 5
Air Fry: Place the chicken hot pocket in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 400°F for 12 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the outside is golden and crispy.
- 6
Serve: Let it cool slightly before cutting and serving with your favorite marinara!
