This chicken will surprise you in a good way! It’s a flavor bomb and so so tender! The garlic fried rice (sinangag) on the side is the perfect combo for a fantastic meal!

Garlic Fried Rice (Sinangag)

    Sear the chicken on both sides in a pan with oil until golden on all sides.

    Crush the garlic and slice some onion in half moons.

  3. 3

    Add to the chicken together with soy sauce, dark soy sauce, palm sugar, black peppercorns, vinegar, sugar, bay leaves and water.

    Cover the pan and bring to a boil. Now let simmer on low for 40 minutes.

    Flip the chicken and simmer for another 30 minutes.

    Uncover and flip the chicken occasionally while the sauce thickens.

    Serve with the garlic fried rice, some sauce and spring onion.

    Mince the garlic.

    Add the garlic to a wok with oil and fry until golden.

    Add the rice, seasonings and toss until golden and mixed.
