Stop motion animation is such a unique and fun way to create content. I found myself bored of sharing my typical recipe videos some time last week and decided instead to post my first animation in over 3 months. y’all loved it, so we’re back this week with yet another for this super delicious crispy tofu sushi. it contains some familiar elements, like the magical chopping, but also new ones, like the smashing of the rice ball into the nori. the transitions flow beautifully. the sounds fit perfectly. and the shots are 💯. enjoy this one, my friends.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1

    Preheat an oven to 400.

  2. 2

Add shredded tofu, oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, and mushroom seasoning to a large baking tray lined with parchment. Mix to combine, flatten into a sheet that has no large holes or gaps, then roast for 30 mins.

  3. 3

Once finishing, take out, cool 10 mins, then tofu sheet up into a cylinder and shop into fine shreds with a sharp knife.

  4. 4

Add cooked sushi rice to your nori sheet so that it covers most of the sheet with a 1/4-inch layer.

  5. 5

Add tofu in the middle of the rice on the nori. Surround the tofu toward the center with the remaining ingredients including carrot, cucumber, bell pepper, jalapeño, purple cabbage, and avocado.

  6. 6

Wrap it up, cut into pieces, and serve with soy sauce and wasabi.
