Crispy-Tender Vegan Tofu Chik'n

This has to be one of coolest things I’ve made for the blog! I decided to make a sammie the other day and thought, “Why not shred and bake the tofu in the oven?” I had no idea it would turn out this amazing, pliable, crispy sheet of tofu that has the perfect balance of crunch and juicy tenderness. And it’s so easy to make. Shred, season, bake. That’s it. I’ll be make this into eternity.

    Preheat your oven to 450F.

    Shred your block of tofu with a cheese grater.

  3. 3

    Add to a parchment lined baking tray along with olive oil, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix together and level the tofu shreds out into one large sheet.

    Bake for 30 mins.

    Remove from the oven and allow to cool 10 mins.

    Roll up the tofu sheet and thinly slice across into fine pieces.

    Serve with sandwiches, salads, or whatever you’d like.
