    Knead the dough into a hard and tight dough.

    Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll them each into logs.

    Cut the logs further into 8 pieces and boil them in water till you see a whitish bumpy texture (takes around 15 minutes).

    Cut them into smaller pieces.

    Heat up some oil and cook the aromatics in it till all the raw smell is gone and the paste is thick.

    Whisk into a smooth liquid.

    Add it to the hot pan and mix on high high till fully incorporated.

    Cook this till the oil comes to the top and add in the gatta and a cup of water you boiled the gatta in.

    Simmer covered for 15-20 min or till the gravy thickens.

    Finish with more seasonings and ghee and serve this hot with some rice or roti.
