    Let steak sit at room temperature for about 30 mins before cooking.

    Dry surface of steak with a paper towel to remove all moisture.

    Season liberally with coarse sea salt within 5 minutes of cooking.

    Preheat the pan over medium heat and add cooking oil.

    Sear steak on all sides.

    When seared crust develops, baste with butter until internal steak temperate is about 5-10 degrees from your desired doneness.

    Remove heat and rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
