Have you tried Char Siu pork before? I love Cantonese cuisine and this recipe is very much inspired by so many of the amazing restaurants and local takeaways I’ve tried!

Ingredients

Char Siu Marinade

Pork

Directions

  1. 1

Prep the pork: remove the fat cap from the pork shoulder and cut into loins. You need two 400g loins for this recipe. Ask a butcher to do this for you if unsure. Then cut the loins in half, so you will be left with 4 pieces. Freeze any leftover pork.

  2. 2

Mix the marinade ingredients together. Marinade the pork with half of the mixture overnight. Put the rest of the marinade in a container to use for basting.

  3. 3

Air fry the pork loins for 20 minutes at 180°C / 356°F. Every 5 minutes baste both sides of the pork loins with the marinade.

  4. 4

Once cooked slice and serve with rice, pak choi and sweet chilli sauce.
