    Add the ingredients in the order listed above, mix well till combined then knead for 5 to 10 min on floured surface. Cover and leave to rise for 1 hour.

    Mix your softened butter with the vanilla so it’s ready.

    Once risen roll it out into a rectangle fairly thin, about 1/2cm thick.

    Spread the butter down (I find it easiest to use my hand for this) sprinkle sugar & cinnamon and then sprinkle the apple and roll the dough up.

    Once rolled flatten by pressing down and cut (minimum of approx 2.5 inches)

    Cover and proof for 30 minutes and preheat oven to 175C brush with egg yolk mixed with a tsp milk before cooking for 20-25min
