Here in Texas our chili is so good it doesn’t need beans, but I won’t judge you if you add them

    Add the ground beef & bison to a pot over medium heat.

    When the meat is halfway browned, add the onions & peppers. Continue to cook until the meat is brown & the peppers are soft.

    Add the garlic, seasonings, cocoa powder, & tomato paste and let cook for 5 minutes. Then season with salt & pepper to taste.

    Add the beef broth & beer, then mix well and let it simmer for 2 hours.

  5. 5

    If your chili is still too thin, add 2 tbsp of masa harina to thicken & let simmer for 20 minutes more.

    Once thickened, serve & enjoy!
