Wash and chop the Korean green peppers. Set them aside.

Heat a pan or wok over medium heat.

Add a splash of oil to the pan.

Once the oil is hot, add the anchovies to the pan. Stir-fry for about one minute until they start to become fragrant.

Pour in the sake. Be careful as it may sizzle.

Stir the anchovies and sake together, allowing the alcohol to cook off for about 30 seconds.

Add the chopped Korean green peppers to the pan.

Drizzle the soy sauce over the mixture.

Sprinkle in a pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar to balance the flavors.

Stir-fry the ingredients together until the green peppers are slightly softened and well combined with the anchovies and seasonings. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
