    Melt butter in a pan over medium heat and sauté minced garlic.

    Cook pasta until al dente in salted water and reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta water.

    To the pan, add heavy cream, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, and the juice of one lemon.

    Let this simmer on low heat for 5-10 minutes and then add freshly grated parmesan (approx. 0.5 cup but feel free to gradually add more).

    Add cooked pasta to the sauce pan and mix together until sauce thickens.

    Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed.

    Top with more parmesan, pepper, lemon zest & enjoy!


Notes

Note: keep the sauce from curdling by cooking on low/medium heat
