Make your day a little sweeter with our Sholeh Zard recipe. A Persian Saffron Rice Pudding that is flavorful, aromatic and visually striking.

    Rinse 2 cups of rice and add to pot with 8 cups of water.

    Cook for about 45 minutes.

    Boil a little bit of water and add saffron threads, let sit.

    Add saffron water, sugar, butter, rose water, and cardamom to your sticky rice.

  5. 5

    Cook for 15 more minutes or until rice is done, then add slivered almonds and pistachios.

    Top with cinnamon and additional slivered almonds and pistachios.
