Halwa is a sweet Afghan treat that is so easy to make, using a few simple ingredients found in your pantry and some of our favorite products from @arianasweets_foods.

    In a pot, heat 5 cups of water and mix in sugar and set aside.

    In a separate pan, heat up oil then mix in Sooji/Semolina flour and cardamom.

    Stirring continuously, let cook until toasted and fragrant.

    Next, slowly add hot sugar water, whisking until smooth.

    Mix in pistachios if using them.

    Lastly, cover with paper towel and lid and cook on low for 10 minutes.
