Braised Mexican-style Beef

    Preheat oven to 325°F.

    Cover meat in salt and taco seasoning.

    Heat a Dutch oven over medium heat with a little beef tallow or ghee.

    Sear meat on all sides until equally browned (takes about ten minutes).

    Remove the meat and add onion so it begins to sautée.

  6. 6

    Add bone broth to deglaze and scrape up brown bits.

  7. 7

    Add crushed tomatoes, jalapeño, and juice of one lime. Taste and adjust for salt.

    Add beef on top and cover with the lid.

    Braise the beef in the oven for about three hours or until it’s falling apart. Enjoy on tacos, in a burrito, or in a bowl!
