Directions
- 1
Crush Ladyfingers: Crush the ladyfingers in a food processor or place them in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin until they turn into fine crumbs.
- 2
Form the Dough: Slowly pour the coffee-cream mixture over the crushed ladyfingers and stir until the mixture holds together. The consistency should be moist but not too wet. If needed, add more coffee or cream to adjust.
- 3
Prepare the Creamy Core (Optional): In a small bowl, mix the mascarpone (or cream cheese) with powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Scoop small amounts of the mixture (about 1/2 tsp) and set aside.
- 4
Shape the Balls: Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the ladyfinger mixture and flatten it slightly in your palm. Place a small amount of the creamy core in the center, then gently roll the mixture into a ball, covering the filling. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
- 5
Chill: Place the tiramisu balls on a baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- 6
Coat the Balls: Roll the chilled tiramisu balls in cocoa powder to coat them evenly.
- 7
Serve: Keep the tiramisu balls in the fridge until serving. The creamy core gives an extra indulgent surprise inside!
