    Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces.

    In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, oyster sauce, Maggi seasoning, honey, Montreal steak seasoning, sesame oil, grated garlic, and granulated garlic powder.

    Add the steak pieces to the bowl, mix well, and set aside to marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes to an hour.

    Heat the oil in a pan over high heat until it starts to smoke.

    Carefully add the marinated beef to the pan. Leave it undisturbed for about 5 seconds to brown, then shake the pan to move the beef around.

    Once all sides of the beef are browned, add the sliced onions, scallions, minced garlic, and butter to the pan.

    Continue cooking until the butter has melted and the vegetables have softened, or until the beef reaches your desired level of doneness.
