Sweet Potato Smash Burgers
Healthy, easy and delicious burgers with sweet potato buns

Thinly slice the onion then add it to a large skillet over medium-low heat with olive oil & butter. Season and add in 1/4 cup of bone broth and let the onions cook down mixing every few minutes.

Once the liquid is gone, add another 1/4 cup of bone broth and mix every few minutes until the onions are almost done then add in the maple syrup and let finish caramelizing to your liking.

While the onions are cooking, peel the sweet potato then cut into ~1/3 inch circular slices. Add to a lined baking sheet. Coat with avocado oil spray and season both sides.

Roast at 400°F until both sides are crispy and the center is soft. (About 30 or so minutes flipping 1/2 way through)

Add ground beef to a large bowl. Season generously and mix well then form into 6 balls.

From there get a large skillet going over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, spray with oil then place the meat balls on and smash them down thin and evenly.

Flip after 1.5-2 minutes then add the cheese on top while the other side finishes.
