Cheese and Onion Slice

Think Greggs Chesse and Onion Pasties but even tastier.

    Boil the potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutes or until soft, then mash.

    Melt the butter and gently fry the onions for 5-10 minutes until soft.

  3. 3

    Add the onions, along with the cheese and plenty of salt and pepper. Mix well.

    Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 8 rectangles.

    Share the potato mixture across 4 of them. Brush around the edges with beaten egg and bake pace the lids on top

    Seal the edges using a fork and brush the top with the remaining egg.

  7. 7

    Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and sprinkle with sea salt.

    Bake for 15-20 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until golden.


Notes

Great to use up leftover potatoes.
