Apple Pie Morning Buns
A soft bun filled with spiced apples & sprinkled with a crumb topping. These sweet buns will make your house smell like autumn

Add the warm milk, butter, sugar & yeast into a large bowl or stand mixer. Let sit for 5 minutes.

Add in the flour & salt, then add the egg & vanilla. Knead for 5 minutes on low speed, the dough should be soft & come clean off the sides.

Set the dough in a warm area until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions & shape into balls.

Place each dough ball on a parchment lined baking sheet & allow to rise again for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Using the bottom of a glass press the center of each dough ball down.

Brush the edges with the egg wash.

Add 1/4C of apple pie filling to each center then sprinkle the crumb topping over the pie filling.

Place the buns in the 200 degree oven & turn the oven up to 375 degrees, bake for 15 minutes.
