Oven Baked Honey & Mustard Sausage Wheel

It is officially my favourite time of year, which can only mean one thing...it's sausage & mash season!

    Heat the oven to 190C fan and line a large baking tray with baking paper.

    Soak 4 wooden kebab skewers in water

    Cut the 8 sausages in half by the connected, twisted skin join, so you have two lengths of 4 joined sausages.

    Untwist the sausage skins at the joins and gently push and roll the sausage meat through the joins, so you have one long even sausage.

    Turn the two sausage lengths into spiral shapes. Gently flatten the sausages a little, make sure there is roughly a 1mm gap between the sausage twirl.

    Make the other 2 sausage wheels with the remaining packet of sausages.

    Push a wooden skewer through each sausage wheel across the length of it to hold it together.

    Bake in the oven for 15 minutes

    Turn the sausages over and return to the oven for 10 minutes.

    In the meantime mix the honey and mustard together in a small bowl

    Take the sausages out of the oven and brush the tops of them with a generous drizzle of the honey and mustard glaze.

    Return to the oven for 10 minutes, or until the sausages are cooked through.
