Chocolate Marbled Banana Bread
Banana bread is always a good idea in my books especially when it’s miserable outside. This one has a chocolatey marble hit and a v good squidge.
Ingredients
Directions
- 1
Preheat oven to 180 degrees fan setting, and line a 2lb loaf tin with baking parchment.
- 2
In a medium sized bowl, combine the wet ingredients.
- 3
In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
- 4
Melt the chocolate in a heat proof bowl over a simmering pot of water. Stir in the cocoa powder. Set aside.
- 5
Lightly fold the wet ingredients into the dry until just combined. Spoon a cup full of the cake mix into the bowl with the melted chocolate, stir to combine.
- 6
Ladle 2/3rds of the banana bread mix into the loaf tin and then dot over a couple of heaped tablespoons of the chocolate mix. Continue using the banana bread mix and chocolate mix, dispersing the plain and chocolate mix randomly to create a marbled patten. Use a skewer or knife to swirl the very top of the cake but avoid going too deep (as this will create a messy inside)
- 7
Bake for 45-50 minutes until the cake is cooked through and bounces back when pressed lightly. Cool, then enjoy.
