Crispy Cornflake Halloumi Bites

Oh so crunchy and drizzled with sweet, sticky hot honey, these crispy cornflake coated halloumi bites are unbelievably good.

Ingredients

    Slice a block of halloumi into cubes.

    Crush 50g cornflakes then mix with 1/2 tsp smoked paprika and a pinch of salt.

    Add 2 tbsp plain flour to a plate and whisk 1 large egg in a bowl.

    Roll each halloumi cube in the flour, then dip in whisked egg, shaking off any excess. Finally, roll each cube in the cornflake mix, making sure it is evenly coated on all sides.

    Place the halloumi in a lined air fryer basket/baking tray, drizzle with a little oil, then air fry at 180C or oven bake at 180C fan/200C for 8-10 mins, turning halfway through cooking.

    Alternatively, you can pan fry in a large, non-stick frying pan with a glug of oil for 2-3 mins on each side.

    Serve and drizzle with hot honey or some sweet chilli sauce. Enjoy!
