It’s always Pizza Friday here and it’s actually really easy to make at home and contains just a few basic ingredients. You don’t have to use a mixer but if you have one it literally makes it for you.

Directions

  1. 1

Add all ingredients into your mixer and attach the dough hook, mix the ingredients on low speed for about 1-2 minutes until they come together into a dough.

  2. 2

Increase the speed to medium and knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

  3. 3

If mixing by hand, add all ingredients into a large bowel and stir with a wooden spoon until a dough starts to form. Continue mixing by hand until the pizza dough comes together in a ball. Place the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead with both hands for about 10 minutes, until it’s firm and stretchy.

  4. 4

Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl, rub a little oil on top too and cover it with a clean damp kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

  5. 5

Punch it down to release the air. Divide the dough into four equal portions.

  6. 6

Using your hands or on a lightly floured surface, roll out each portion of dough into your desired pizza shape.

  7. 7

Preheat your oven on highest setting for 15 minutes, once it’s hot pop pizza in on a stone or baking tray and rotate a couple of times for even cooking. It should only take about 10 minutes.

  8. 8

If you are using a pizza oven, I have the @ninjakitchenuk one, I tend to use the 370c setting, then when it tells you it’s reaches the correct temperature, transfer the pizza and watch it cook and rise in 2 minutes!!!
