Preheat oven to 425°F.

Add cubed pears to a large parchment-lined cast-iron or oven-safe dish.

Add half of the sugar/maple syrup/spice mixture on top of the pears and toss to evenly combine.

Combine rolled oats, remaining sugar/maple syrup/spices, flour, and milk in a small bowl.

Mix until the mixture is slightly wet, adding more cream/milk if needed.

Spread the mixture over the pears, pressing down and filling out to the edges of the baking dish.

Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until bubbling and golden brown on top.
