Chai & Parle-G Mochi Ice Cream

Making mochi ice cream using @braverobot's vanilla n cookies flavor and pairing it with chai and Parle-G.

Ingredients

    Scoop 6 balls of ice cream and wrap each in saran wrap. Freeze for at least 8 hours.

    Whisk together mochiko, sugar, and chai masala in a microwave-safe bowl.

    Add water and whisk until a batter forms. Add crushed Parle-G and combine with a spatula.

    Cover and microwave for 1 minute.

    Uncover, whisk, cover, and microwave for another 1 minute.

    Uncover, mix with a spatula, cover, and microwave for 30 seconds.

    Uncover and place the dough on parchment paper dusted with cornstarch.

    Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness and chill in the fridge for 15 minutes.

    Cut out 6 circles using a medium-sized round glass or mold.

    Brush off excess cornstarch and wrap each ice cream ball in the dough, then wrap in saran wrap and freeze for at least 2-3 hours.


Notes

Be patient and work quickly when wrapping the ice cream balls in dough.
