first, rinse and drain the chickpeas. optional, but recommended: remove the shells off the chickpeas to get a smoother texture.

add the chickpeas, peanut butter, maple syrup, coconut sugar, vanilla, and salt to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth and creamy.

if needed, add 1-2 tbsp of non dairy milk to help blend.

pour mixture into a mixing bowl and mix in 1/4 cup oat flour.

if mixture is too sticky, add in 1 to 2 tbsp more oat flour.

lastly, fold in the chocolate chips.

press dough into a parchment lined baking dish.

melt together the chocolate chips and coconut oil and pour over the bars.

sprinkle with sea salt and place in freezer to set for at least 30 min.

once set, cut into bars and enjoy! store any leftovers in the freezer.
