Remove the seeds from the pumpkin but keep the skin on.

Slice the pumpkin into 3-4cm wedges, add to a baking tray, drizzle with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper. Roast for about 30 mins at 200C fan.

Melt the butter in a pan, add the onion and fry for 5 mins.

Add the garlic and sage and cook for another 2 mins.

Add the white wine and cook until most of it has evaporated.

Add the gnocchi and cream, mix well and cook for 5 mins.

Serve the gnocchi, placing the roasted pumpkin slices on top.
