Soak the skewers in water.

Fire up the BBQ.

Mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl and microwave until piping hot.

Alternatively, mix the sauce in a pot on a stove until bubbling.

Break the tofu into pieces and coat the tofu.

Skewer the tofu onto the skewers and place on the barbecue.

Turn intermittently so it is charred but NOT burnt.
