Ingredients

Chicken Tikka

Balti Sauce

Directions

  1. 1

Marinade the chicken in a bowl, along with rest of the Tikka ingredients. Leave to stand for an hour if you have time, but if not, these are good to go. Thread onto skewers, then cook in your air fryer set at 200° for 12 minutes. The chicken will not be cooked through this point, however it will finish cooking within the sauce.

  2. 2

Fry the onion in the ghee or oil, this will take around 10 minutes. Add in the garlic and ginger paste, spices, fresh tomato and chilli then cook for a further 2 minutes. Throw in the peppers, the tomato purée which has been mixed with the boiling water, ladle in the curry base gravy then bring up to a simmer. Add in the cooked chicken tikka and simmer for 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through. Finally add lime juice to taste then scatter in some chopped coriander.
