Preheat oven to 350°. Line a mini cupcake tray with cupcake liners and set to the side.

To a large mixing bowl whisk together the all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

To a separate mixing bowl beat the butter and sugar with a hand mixer until combined. Add the egg whites, vanilla and the yogurt and continue mixing until smooth. Alternately blend in the dry ingredients and the milk starting and ending with the dry ingredients until combined. Fold in the chocolate sandwich cookies until incorporated.

Using the prepared cupcake tray, fill each cupcake to 3/4 full. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center of one of the cupcakes comes out clean. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.

While the cupcakes are cooling, you can make your frosting. To the bowl of a stand mixer, fitted with a paddle attachment beat the softened butter, powdered sugar, salt and vanilla until smooth. Add the milk 1 tablespoon at a time to create a smooth and creamy consistency. Add in the sandwich, cookie crumbs, and beat until Incorporated.

Place frosting in a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe a small amount of frosting on each cooled cupcake, and top with a mini chocolate sandwich cookie or chocolate sandwich, cookie crumbs to decorate.
