Single Serve Strawberry Shortcake

Strawberry sauce

Preheat the oven to 425F.

To a small dish, add the flour, butter, & sugar. Lightly mix & add the milk slowly until a dough forms. Bake for 10 minutes or until slightly golden brown.

Assemble the strawberry sauce by adding all ingredients under “strawberry sauce” in a small microwave safe dish. Mix & microwave in 30 second intervals until the sugar is dissolved & the strawberries are soft. (May take up to 1 minute & 30 seconds).

Once both the sauce & shortcake are done, top the shortcake with the strawberry sauce, cool whip, & basil & enjoy!
